MT. JULIET, Tenn. – A young girl in Mt. Juliet has lost her fight with cancer.
11-year-old Savannah Swandal passed away around 12 p.m. Monday. She had been battling a rare form of cancer for the third time.
In February, friends put up lime green bows all over Mt. Juliet to support her in her fight against the disease.
In 2005, Savannah was diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma, a fast-growing and rare form cancer that left her with tumors throughout her body.
