An early start...

Got up early and pureed about 4 dozen tomatoes with our basil and elephant garlic. Cooking it all down now to store away for the winter. The house smells SO good. With so many tomatoes this year, I'm sure I'll have plenty more to get creative with:) Later this morning, we will head up to Chilton to attend Aunt Isabelle's funeral. After a luncheon there, it's off to the North Beach for some surf viewing, and then home to a quiet evening. I'm afraid our outdoor swimming days have come to an end for this season...temps in the 40's at night bring the water temp down fast. Tomorrow Paul has a wedding at the Ramada, and Elle and I will head up to Manitowoc for a barbecue at Jeannine's house (Grandma NeeNee) with the extended Rochon clan. Unsure if Eva and Mike will join us, it seems they too have busy weekends with bookings. Picture for today is a favorite from 10 years ago this week...a real keeper:D
