Yesterday was a super busy day. We started early with a walk around the neighborhood. Then in the late morning we hiked the lake trails at the nearby state park. Belle and I went to Y to swim after lunch, and then returned to the park for the rest of the afternoon. Elise and Charlotte napped for a while, and then we made pork chops and baked potatoes for supper. Today we plan to check out a new 4 mile trail at the park. It is such a beautiful place. We counted 8 deer and 2 fawns, several large turtles, herons and egrets all within about 15 feet of the trail. I'm hoping to visit in the fall and can't imagine how beautiful the woods will be!
