Salad eaters, and church greeters...

Aliyah and Henry shared a shrimp salad tonight. Thought the pic was cute. They get along very well. Paul is having the first choir practice at the "new" church this evening. Several of the members are also church greeters...hence the title of today's blog. I visited the Hospice Home of Hope today, and had nice chats. One lady was taping the volunteer harpist's music for her wake. It sounds strange, but she was very happy that she could pick out music and be somewhat in control (not able to be in control of the illness.) She is a great lady, and a personal friend of our Deacon. I know it'll be hard for him when she leaves us. He has visited her every week for many months, perhaps years. She also had a great cat. The cat was very protective of her at her home, and has found a nice home with a friend. How neat. Everyone knows that I believe the healing power of animals is very strong.
Special note...a very HAPPY 20th. ANNIVERSARY wish goes out to Bob and Kathy in Traverse City, MI. Hope they have 20, 30, or 40+ years ahead! xxooxxoo
