Another beautiful autumn day!

I watched the baby this morning so everyone could attend the funeral. Belle and I shopped for some of Ellie's play needs, and now she's fast asleep on the office floor. Plans are not shored up yet, but we might head to the Meuer farm this afternoon, before jazz concert tonight:)

A drink, a nap and a long hike:)

Jazz fest weekend at the Windhover!

Paul and Eva are involved in the Jazz Festival this weekend featuring Eugene Rousseau, the fabulous saxophonist. Locals may be interested. It's at the Windhover Center...$15 a night or $25 for both nights. We're trail walking this afternoon and roasting pumpkin seeds later:)

a few cute pics from last night

Good-bye to Mary Fran

Elise and Eva have the privilege to do the music this Saturday for the funeral of our High School principal. She was really a great teacher, administrator, and knew each one of her students. The paper is full of stories and tributes. Yesterday we visited with Elise's voice professor Grace, (pictured) and today we visit with Community Theater friend Mel. Grocery shopping first, and then our 5 miles later.

Happy Birthday to big brother, Jeff!

Today we celebrate with Jeff on his 56th. birthday:) I hope he can find some quiet time (during this election nonsense) to party in Madison. (If you're around Fondy Jeff, we made a cake last night:P) Photo was taken in Eau Claire, summer of 1988, and features Jeff, Grandma Mare, and 2 year old Andy.

swingers

Yesterday was much less busy, with Belle in her third day of a cold, and Elise with a pinched nerve. We managed a visit to McDermott Park, close to home, and a trip to the hospital to see Aunt Jeanette. She isn't doing well at all, and we hope for a recovery, but she is very weak. Prayers are welcome. Off to start the day today with breakfast at Faros, followed by our usual 5 mile walk.
