And so the workouts begin!

Eva and I are excited to begin a membership at a new local gym. We are doing a little shopping today for shoes, work out gear, etc., and are really looking forward to our 'healthy journey.' With another Grandbaby coming, and being (gulp) 50 now, the time is right. Eva also has an opera performance in April to prepare for, so we are psyched. Our first workout will be later today, but then since I'm an early bird, I will do some early morning routines also. Anyone interested in joining us, give me a call:)

getting ready...

After helping prepare some goodies for the game, Aliyah took a hut tub break:) I sent some cute packer shirts to Belle in Nashville, so we'll all be decked out in Green and Gold (and pink:) Even Paul wore a green dress shirt to church with a nice tie...REALLY wanted to wear his Packer tie, but waited until after mass to change:) Have to keep our priorities straight!

concert

Aliyah enjoyed the concert and visited with many of her cousins. She got into the 'audience participation' clapping and saluting, and then joined her cousins for a sleepover. Elle and Eva have choir practice today at 10:15 followed by a mass at 11. It's always nice to see our Sacred Heart greeters and friends, since we don't usually attend church services there. Paul sees to it that the choirs are scheduled at all church locations, not just the new church, which is nice. Will try to get in a little exercise after mass. Wishing everyone a great day!

Breakfast out and then District Chorale Extravaganza!

For interested locals, the concert begins at 4 PM at the High School PAC, and includes all the grade school and middle school choirs, as well as the high school. It's a free concert:) Nice way to spend the afternoon, and leaves plenty of time to get ready for the Pack tomorrow! We are planning to stay home and watch the Superbowl on the big tv, and the weather man says 30's, so we'll probably grill out. Anyone who wants to join us is welcome! Elle is having a few friends over too. Thanks to Brian at Fondy Seafood for the beautiful tile fish and shrimp. It will be great on the grill, although we also have the standards...brats, burgers, etc. Diet will have to wait until Monday:)

"Catholic Schools Week" mass

Just a few highlights from the mass yesterday at the Springs. Our former pastor Fr. Pat can be seen in the first pic, he is currently Vicar of Clergy in Milwaukee; a neat reflection off of the piano top with Paul's arm on the right; Elle's good friend Lisa in the third; and Archbishop Listecki in the last. Our former Archbishop Tim Dolan is currently the Archbishop of New York.
